New Dog Walking & Pet Sitting Services for Capital Village

Peaceful Pets Petsitting Services has expanded to Rancho Cordova

Rancho Cordova, CA. (OCTOBER 12, 2009) – Peaceful Pets Petsitting Services, voted "Best Dog Walker" in KCRA3's Annual A-list Awards in 2009 and 2008, has expanded its service area to include Rancho Cordova communities Capital Village, Stone Creek, Anatolia and Mather.

With a vet tech on-hand, Peaceful Pets has the skills and experience to take care of all kinds of pets. Peaceful Pets offers the following services: dog walking, in-home pet sitting, overnight pet sitting, feeding, playtime, and administering medications. Special needs pets and large animals (i.e., horses) are welcome too.

Peaceful Pets is dedicated to giving the pets in their care undivided attention. It is their mission to provide a safe and loving environment for pets so that their clients can have 'peace of mind' while at work or on vacation.

Having a professional pet sitter come to your home to care for your pets can be an ideal alternative to boarding. Boarding an animal can cause stress and anxiety depending upon the temperament of your pet. Choosing to have a pet sitter care for your animals minimizes these feelings, and also greatly reduces the risk of your pet contracting an infectious disease such as kennel cough. Another benefit of having a pet sitter come to your home is that your animal will be getting one on one love and attention that caters specifically to his/her needs. Your pet will also have the added security of being in his/her own surroundings.

Be sure to contact Peaceful Pets for the holiday season – they are now taking reservations for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Founded in 2005, Peaceful Pets is owned by Dana Strickland and James McKellips of Sacramento, CA.

Village Green Concert Hits a High Note

By Jenn Taylor, CRPD Recreation Coordinator

Families brought their blankets, favorite dinner picnic foods and dancing shoes for a great night out at the recent concert in Village Green Park. The Nicole Hodson Quartet performed during the Village Green’s inaugural concert sponsored by Cordova Recreation & Park District and Procida Landscape. With Nicole’s sultry voice, husband Tim’s gifted drumming, John’s tantalizing keyboards, and a host of outstanding jazz musicians, this group dazzled audiences at the Village Green Park in Rancho Cordova. Families commented on the fun atmosphere and welcoming environment with one couple celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary at the event stating, “I have been to music in the park events for many years and have never had such a lovely time.” This was truly an intergenerational affair with many families and extended families present sharing picnic dinners and listening to great music.
