Brownstone Redesign Meeting - Rescheduled

The brownstone redesign meeting conflicts with the Villas HOA meeting, so we're going to move it to Friday at 7:00pm at Matt & Doniell's house, 3157 Noah Blomquist Way (Bungalow).

I know I am not a resident (yet) but I was hoping to buy one of the reflections after it was re-designed. I am seriously debating whether to purchase in the community now. Both the Fusion (Villas) and Reflections (Brownstones) have gone away from why I wanted to buy in Capital Village in the first place. Not trying to have this be a soap box just a little outsider input I guess (I know you guys have no say over it).

My favorite floor plan at capital village was the smallest Brownstone. I LOVED (LOVED!!!!) the kitchen and small backyard. Believe me if circumstances had allowed me to buy at the time I would have.

The only two designs I see desirable now are the new 3 & 4.

I liked the old three story, the new two story is a good addition but not a "replacement".

If anyone is selling or renting out the little 2BR/2BTH brownstone with the cute kitchen PLEASEEEEE let me know :)

Hi Michael,

We are all disappointed with Beazer's decision to redesign the homes, but they've been forthcoming in explaining that it's a business decision due to market conditions. Frankly, I wouldn't let it sway your perception of the community. This is still an awesome place to live. We have great neighbors who truly care about the neighborhood and it's the only community like this in the Sacramento area. It will only get better as the landscaping goes in and matures, the main street is complete, more homes are built, and the parks open. Also, you might want to check out the Bungalows this weekend; they're having a big sale and offering significant discounts. -Chelsea

Hi Chelsea,

Thanks for the advice. I can truly see that with regards to it being a great community and great place to live. Unfortunately, at the same time I would want to live in a home I can truly 'picture' myself in. I have toured over 700 homes in the past couple years trying to find a good food and out of Capital Village I found that the floorplans I could truly picture myself in have been 'streamlined' (removed). I am still definitely watching to see what is coming, however. :)
